DUOFLANGE® ...
THE MOST COST-EFFECTIVE
FLANGE CONNECTION
SYSTEM EVER OFFERED...

AND IPP MAKES IT!

Two high performance choices.

DUOFORGE®... the forged flange and stub-end combination

DUOCAST®... the ductile iron flange and forged stub-end combination.

IPP MAKES IT TO LAST

The DUOFORGE flange and slip-on stub-ends are manufactured in sizes 1" - 24" from ASTM A105 forged steel... the standard of the industry. The DUOCAST flange is made of tough, corrosion resistant ductile iron conforming to ASTM A 395. Both systems are rated at Class 150 for operating pressures up to 275 psi.

IPP has supplied special flange systems up to 34" Class 400.

IPP MAKES IT EASY TO INSTALL

DUOFLANGE eliminates the labor cost of two-hole alignment of the flanges. This can save up to 30% of the labor associated with installing the flanges.

Because the IPP DUOFLANGE is free to rotate on the welded stub end, it is easy to fit-up to mating welded flanges. No need for permanent leveling, squaring and mating the bolt holes. Simply turn the DUOFLANGE until the bolt holes are aligned and install the bolts, nuts and washers. One man can do the job efficiently.

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF VON MISE STRESS LEVELS IN STANDARD PIPE SECTIONS, SIZE 24"

Finite element analysis actually proves DUOFLANGE reduces pipe wall stress by transferring loads from the pipe wall to the more massive stub-end.

The highest stress level in pipe   section is near fillet weld. DUOFLANGE reduces stress levels by 37% (see figure 3) Stress level in pipe section near fillet weld significantly reduced with hub or slip-on flange but exceeds  DUOFLANGE stress level by 27% DUOFLANGE produces the lowest pipe stress level by transferring loads into the forged stub-end.
